pokemon!

In a week or two, I'm going to be doing my friend's nails and I've asked her what she wanted and she wanted something out there and guess what she chose? That's right, Pokemon!!!

Just did a practice run on some fake nails and here's how they look:


Pikachu, Squirtle and Jiggly Puff

A bit off with symmetry, but gonna practice it again, waiting on a fourth Pokemon to try out :) Will post them up when they are done!

create a matte look!

While painting on random colours on some fake nails, I revisited my old habit of blowing onto my nails for them to dry faster. I used to breathe hot air on them for some reason cause I thought it was fun to watch the nails condense with water droplets and then evaporate haha

Suddenly I was breathing hot air on them continuously and realised that the polish started to become matte! I made sure by waiting for it to dry and rubbing it to make sure that there was no liquid on it. I was stoked! I repeated it with 2 other colours just to make sure.

The result is matte-like but not the same type of matte as using a matte polish. I still thought it was interesting, here are the results:

pink & purple fever

I was cleaning my nail polish the day I received my bundles of polish bottles and was gonna take my time deciding on something to do for the week, but I ran out of time and had to leave the house asap, so I resorted to painting them with a coat of OPI's Charged up Cherry.

Later I decided to paint something on, since they were looking kinda plain and then the day after I painted purple tips, just cause. They're a little out there and bold, but hey, might as well, there's no holding back :)

Nail polish haul!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO my abundance of nail polish bottles arrived and I just picked them up today. VERY excited to try them on, but couldn't until after my boyfriend left for work. We were watching LOTR haha, still haven't finished it! 4hrs is a damn long running time for a movie :s

Colour Club; Pink Pearls/ Wasn't the colour I was looking for but it'll do


Colour Club; Wild at Heart/ Not a fan of sparkles and shimmers, though I like the purple which is why I bought it, but HOW EPIC IS THIS COLOUR? reminds me of space


China Glaze; Beauty and the Beach/ Again not a fan of shimmers and pearls, but it was a nice colour, perhaps I should've gotten the opaque one. Quite sheer, needed about 3-4 coats to achieve this colour


China Glaze; Moonlight/ mmm... very dreamy and not in your face, I likey


China Glaze; Light as Air/ Darnit, thought this was grey, but it's a very subtle lilac, which looks exactly the same as the next colour ><


Opi; Rumple's Wiggin' Shrek Collection/ Looks like 'Light as Air', but only in photos! (phew)



Opi; What's With the Cattitude?/ Very naice


Opi; The 'It' Colour/ A lot more orange than I thought, but still nice. hmm might get another yellow haha


Opi; Charged up Cherry/ Similar to the colour I've been searching for! Unexpected colour choice too, the reference photo when purchased was a lot different to actual colour, but glad I bought it anyway. Very hot.

Feeling cutesy?

Feels like polka dotting something. Alongside polka dots, I thought bows were appropriate and then it ended up being cutesy haha oh wells nevertheless here they are, still thinking of something to do for this weeks nail of the week.

OH YEAH my nail polish haul from eBay came in the mail :D I tried all the colours out, was too excited! I'll put the pics up in the next post!

a tad catty

ALAS, my one and only exam is over and I'm lazing around like a sloth. Brilliant! Means I got more time to do my nails and catch up on tv shows and whatnot. Here were my nails 2 weeks ago (gasp)



Just when I was getting the hang of leopard spots I just did a couple more :D

SO technically I should be doing my assignment, but I couldn't help myself! I went ahead and did a winnie the pooh inspired nail design and a jasmine (aladdin) inspired one!

Nails for the Week

Hi everyone! I cheated, I did a double post in one day to compensate for the lack of posts haha, but fear not the break is very near and I'm gonna have a jolly time doing my nails :)

I felt like changing my nails and asked me friend what should I do? She linked me to a minnie mouse tutorial and thought I'd do that! Since I cut my nails short, I couldn't do much with them yet. After painting my nails minnie style, I was thinking about doing a winnie the pooh inspired one and a jasmine (aladdin) one :) Excited! Guess we'll just have to wait and see what the outcomes are teehee

Just a couple days ago, I was on eBay and decided to buy some new nail polishes. I came across a seller selling some cheap opi, china glaze and colour club and couldn't help my self! I bought 11 bottles and I can't wait to get them!

What are your favourite nail polish colours? Mine are opaque colours, especially red! Drop a comment:)

Sweet Little things

Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates, been busy with uni (and still am! one more darn assignment left!) Just been doing my nails here and there, I did some marbelling about a week or two ago and I must say, I have crap water! The polish doesn't disperse very well but I managed to get it right :D

Also, just wanna share my nails for the (past week) hehe, hope you like them :) It's a very simple french tip style with lace tape along the line. Here they are :)
