Born Pretty Matte Blue Polish & Gold Square Studs Review

Hi everyone! I have a product review from Born Pretty to show you all tonight. I was sent 2 products to review - a matte blue polish and some gold square studs. Gonna be a bit lengthy, so hope you
are patient enough to read through it, or you can look at the pictures, what ever is in your best interest :) Here's a shot of the products.

I couldn't read any of the text on the bottle, so I'm not sure what the contents are. I'm assuming there's no harmful chemicals in it, but beats me. Just a guess! The studs I received are the 2mm ones.

Let's have a look at the polish on it's own and I'll go talk a bit about it after.

This polish is by BK and it's a medium blue matte polish. When I opened the bottle, the polish looked quite thick and must've leaked a tad since the neck of the bottle was a bit crusty, but nothing that thinner couldn't fix. Anyway, in the picture, I applied 2 coats of this polish and for any of you who knows what a pain it is to apply matte polish, let me tell you that this was great! Formula goes on smooth, even though it was thick and it didn't do that 'balding' thing when brushing over the same spot more than once. I brushed over it a few times to make sure it wasn't just how I applied it. Great colour, fantastic application! The only downside I have to say about this is that it takes long to dry for a matte polish. Perhaps it was because it was thick, but I found it took a while to dry.

Moving on, I decided to do a really simple look using this polish, some clear topcoat and the gold studs that came with the package. I decided I didn't want to use them gold, so what I did was dip a cotton bud in polish remover and rubbed the gold surface to reveal a silver one! Neat huh?

The studs were easy to use and come in a handy zip-lock bag so they don't fall out. Since I applied these studs on a matte base, I used a matte topcoat to stick them on. I used some blue tack on the end of a toothpick to pick the stud up, brushed on some matte topcoat underneath the stud and stuck it in place. Really easy and simple to use.

Here's the look I created with both these products,

There we have it! Great products from the Born Pretty store :) You can purchase these products on the Born Pretty website here www.bornprettystore.com This nail polish, along with other colours can be purchased here for $3.88 each and the studs here for $5.73 each. They also have free shipping!

Thank you to Born Pretty for providing these for me to review. Hope you enjoyed this review!
