Hi everyone! Finally did that new caviar trend manicure and I'm loving it - it's like candy on my fingers :) I decided to do a rainbow one 'cause they're the only colours I have (really want to do a black and blue one) and they still turned out great. Texture doesn't bother me too much, but they are kind of like having rhinestones on your nails, so if it bothers you, this isn't the mani for you!
I did a full cover over every nail just last night and there have been casualties already haha. Also, some of the microbeads are losing colour, so it looks like there are bald spots. Lucky me, took the pics before they started to look like clear beads. Nevertheless, I still love how it looks on my nails. They also make your nails look wider.
This mani is so simple to do, so if you're looking for something fun, definitely try this mani out. If you're interested in the colours I've used, they are gold, silver, off silver, lilac, blue, pink and dark brown. Anyways, sorry for jumping all over the place, can't organise what I want to say, so will just let the pictures do the talking :)
Don't they just look good to eat? haha!
Have you tried this mani? If so, let me know below :) Till the next post, takecare!

The Lorax Nails, For all Dr. Seuss Fans!
Hi everyone! Today I have a Dr. Seuss inspired mani to show you all. The idea came about when I was walking in my shopping centre and saw a light advert about the movie 'The Lorax' and I thought he looked funny so decided to do some nails based on him!
I think the colours were great together and there's a little Lorax on the middle finger. I wish I had drawn his face to begin with, but now that I see all them fluffy things on stalks, I was happy that I drew him small, standing on a post :)
Everything was hand drawn and I was surprised I was able to get the lining so thin in certain areas. Kudos to my brush!
Here are the pics!
Btw, I changed my watermark! It was something I drew on paper and then just cut out very badly in Photoshop, so when I have the time, I will definitely fix that up! Thankfully they're used on a smaller scale so they don't look too terrible hehe
Anyways, what do you think of these? Let me know below! Think my next mani will be that caviar one... can't wait!

Embellished Ruffian Mani Inspired by Madeline Poole
Hi everyone! I have a mani I wore a few days ago to show you. It was something I saw when googling something - not quite sure what it was, or maybe I was on tumblr? I don't remember haha. Anyways, if you have heard of Madeline Poole, she has some great nail art!
This was inspired by one of her red ruffian manis with gold glitter pieces around the cuticle area. I liked it, but didn't fully love it until I did them on my own nails. They looked really good and really simple, so for those who want something simple and elegant with a tad bit of bling, you should definitely try this out!
For those who haven't tried a ruffian mani, or can't paint it onnice and round, I suggest using the same circle reinforcement stickers you would use for a half moon mani and stick it parallel to your cuticle and paint in the smaller bit of the mani. This is great for when your base colour is darker than your smaller area. The red I used was sheer, so there was no way I'd get away with painting it over black. If you want a tutorial, please let me know!
Enough jibber jabber, I only have one pic to show because I couldn't capture the exact red very well =/
Pretty cool yeah? I love it to bits, definitely something I would do again and perhaps in different colours! Think I need to try out more Madeline Poole stuff, they're so cool :) See you all in the next post!

Starcraft Nails
Calling all Starcraft fans (if there are any of you lurking around!)! I am not a fan of Starcraft, but my bf is and I did this as a surprise for him :) He loves this game so much, it is the king of all games for him, and if he could worship any game for life, it would be this game.
For those who follow my FB, you would've seen this mani already :)
I've taken the team/group logos and the Starcraft logo (in short) and trasnlated it onto my nails. Let me tell you these took FOREVARHHH! Seriously, I painted the logos with nail polish and then had to go in again to clean up the edges and by looking at the one on my middle finger and thumb, you can tell they required a bit more work haha!
Although I don't know much about this game, I do know at least the names of the logos. I've got individual pics so I'll name them shortly. In the meantime, enjoy if you love Starcraft and if not, then well, it's worth a look at right? *nudge nudge*
Excuse the blurry close ups!

Protoss: My bfs favourite. He kept saying to me 'Why didn't you make this one bigger? This is my favourite team.' and my response, 'I know it's your favourite team, but how on earth would I fit the other teams in a smaller nail?!' Look how big they are; I had trouble doing them on my thumb and middle finger let alone the pinky!
Anyways, hope you liked these, even though you might not like them... haha. I have a mani inspired by Madeline Poole to show next, so stay tuned!

Meme Faces Nail Art
Hi everyone! Thought I'd drop in and do a short post on some nail art I did on a nail wheel a little while ago and had forgotten to post about.
Have you heard of meme faces? If not google. them - the cartoons that their faces are found in is absolutely hilarious, IMO of course :) I saw on my FB newsfeed that a girl had these meme faces nail art and I was determined to do a full wheel of these faces! I've only got half to show you now and will probably do a spontaneous post with the remaining half.
My personal favourites are the 1st, 2nd, 5th and 7th. What about you?

Nail Art Experiment, Can you guess what it is?
Hi girls! Today I have an experimental nail art to show you! I'm not gonna reveal what it is and let you all guess :) I'm a bit torn about the results since they didn't 'place' rather well on the nail. Had they been perfectly centred like the almost-there index finger, I would've been happy. Though the print itself is okay, so I'm not 100% bummed out about it. I smudged the thumb by accident (yikes!) and had to cover it up, but I don't think it's that noticeable in the pic.
Anyways, here's the pic
There normally isn't colour (just b&w), but I decided to add a spot colour. I will probably revisit this again, but maybe in colour for a fun look. Leave what you think in the comments below, I'd love to know what your interpretation of this is :)

Free as a bird...
Yay, a post earlier than expected (still not that early but it's before the weekends at least!). I have a very simple, but lovely design to show you all today. As I was thinking about what to paint on my nails, I was inspired by some birds and decided to do silhouette birds flying free and leaving a cage, youknow, the typical bird scene :)
I did make references to pics for this design, so I'll put them up later. Let's get to the pics!
The last pic shows my right hand - I forced myself to do it, I didn't want to have one hand bare and knew I needed the practice anyway. Here's the pics that I took reference from (well pretty much copied it EXACTLY haha).
Well I hope you like this design! Thanks for being patient :) I will come up with some more great designs to show you all :) Till then, takecare all you lovely readers!

Vintage Jewellery Frame with 3D Rose Cabochon
Hi girlies! I just have something to announce for my blog and I hope you will be patient and bear with me. I started uni and it's only been the first week and the work load is already up there and it will only get busier throughout the semester :( I will probably only be posting every 4 days to a week at a time or whenever I get the chance to do my nails, but I think i'll only have quality time over the weekends (at least more so than weekdays!).
Last night I decided that it was time to try out the vintage jewellery/cabochon design nails. I absolutely loved the antique look framing that surrounds those cabochons, especially the victorian style ones with the black background a side profile of a young woman. I decided to go for something 3D, so did a rose instead! Some random dots were added over the non accent nails to resemble the chain. I really love the look :)
I've always wanted to do this on my nails, so now that I finally have, I probably will have it on for a week or so (till next week to change) haha! Let me know what you think of this look!
BTW, I know this might sound kinda gross or weird or whatever, but the fine (looks finer in real life than the pics) gold detailing on the cabochon frame was actually done with... wait for it... a strand of hair... from my head HAHA! No, seriously, I did. I pulled a strand out and cut it to about 1-2cm and used a tweezer to hold it and then used it like a brush - a single haired brush haha! It was a bit harder to control since my hair strand is a bit stiffer, but totally works fine for me! If you think this was a useful tip, please let me know and I will add it to my 'tips & tricks page'.
Hope to see you all soon in the next post!
