Hi everyone! I've been a little M.I.A atm and I apologise for that! Work has made me pretty tired and left me wanting to just lie like a stone on my days off haha I will try my very best to not be lazy!
I have something that I did a while to show you. As I mentioned in the last post, I would be posting about the spike nails I did. I never wore them out since they were very impractical and I could easily snag it on my clothes or cut myself, so I only wore it for photos and took it off shortly after.
I also forgot to take a swatch of Illamasqua Boosh before the spikes so I guess this will have to do. It's a black creme polish that goes on smoothly and covers in 2 coats. Great formula, but kind of pricey for just a black polish (costs about $34AUD here). I received this polish from a PR company to try out, so I thank them for sending this out to me. I also received colours from their previous Human Fundamentalism collection, so I will show you them another time.
Here's the spikes!
For those wondering where I bought these spikes, they're actually from the ends of an eyebrow piercing. Neat huh? I just took them apart and stuck them down with some Seche Vite 'cause that stuff is heavy duty! Never know where you can find things to stick on your nails :D
They look punkish and I would've done it on the thumb too, but it was a bit much considering it's quite sharp. For those who have seen this on my Facebook, I know you're all thinking it's hella dangerous! Mind you they probably are (even if you were being careful), hence I took them off shortly after the pics were taken.
Just got a couple more previous nails to show you all as well, though it'll prob be slowing down a bit since my nails will probably get ruined at work anyway, so I'll see how I go! Thanks for being patient as always, love you all :) Till next time, take care!

Gold Rings & Studs + I'm finally employed!
Hello readers!
Sorry for the disappearance, I've been a bit lazy (whoopsies) to make a post a couple days ago. I have a few different things on my nails and took some pictures to use for posts and I haven't put them up yet, so here's an older design I did probably a week or two ago.
I was in my room looking at a box of beads and found some gold rings that I figured I could use for some nail art! I 'm always on the lookout for things that can be used on my nails, so you never know where you can find inspiration to put on your nails! In the centre of the rings, I placed a gold stud inside and left some blank just 'cause :)
I've used OPI Ski Teal We Drop for the base and used Nailtek Topcoat to place the embellishments down. Nailtek is a quick dry topcoat that isn't as sticky as Seche Vite so it was easier to work with. I would've used Out The Door, but Nailtek was just sitting on my table haha. I finished off with a coat of Seche Vite to cover everything and hold it in place.
Here's how the look,
I did the same with my right hand, but placed the rings in a linear way, from the cuticle to the tip of the nail, but I didn't grab any pics of it :( Surely you can imagine how it might look!
Also, as of Saturday, I've gotten a job (yay) at a hair and nail salon in Campbelltown, so i'm really looking forward to learning things there. Also, they do piercings and waxing etc, so I can get any of those services done anytime, woop woop :)
I have a couple designs to show from the previous week (and this), plus a review to post, so expect those in the next few days! I also have that spike nail to show you all for those who haven't seen on my Facebook. Looks like that will be my next post :) Till then, take care!

Cute as a Button!
As the title suggests, I have some button nails to show you! I envisioned this to be pastel-like and colourful, but it somehow ended up black and white on a pale pink base haha! I'll probably revisit it some other time.
I felt like doing something kind of cute, so opted for some tiny buttons and a handwritten 'cute as a (picture of a button) for the accent nails. I like how it turned out, though it kind of looked like pyjamas (do you think so?!)?
Anywho, let's take a look at the pics!
I outlined all the white, so it is a bit choppy. I should've taken the other route and drew on a white circle then added a black circe over it to achieve a cleaner white outline, but nevertheless, i'm glad its not this magnified in real life haha!
For the next post, I'm excited because I bought some spiky studs and can't wait to rock them on my nails! Hoping they come out alright :) Till then, takecare!

Born Pretty Matte Blue Polish & Gold Square Studs Review
Hi everyone! I have a product review from Born Pretty to show you all tonight. I was sent 2 products to review - a matte blue polish and some gold square studs. Gonna be a bit lengthy, so hope you
are patient enough to read through it, or you can look at the pictures, what ever is in your best interest :) Here's a shot of the products.
I couldn't read any of the text on the bottle, so I'm not sure what the contents are. I'm assuming there's no harmful chemicals in it, but beats me. Just a guess! The studs I received are the 2mm ones.
Let's have a look at the polish on it's own and I'll go talk a bit about it after.
This polish is by BK and it's a medium blue matte polish. When I opened the bottle, the polish looked quite thick and must've leaked a tad since the neck of the bottle was a bit crusty, but nothing that thinner couldn't fix. Anyway, in the picture, I applied 2 coats of this polish and for any of you who knows what a pain it is to apply matte polish, let me tell you that this was great! Formula goes on smooth, even though it was thick and it didn't do that 'balding' thing when brushing over the same spot more than once. I brushed over it a few times to make sure it wasn't just how I applied it. Great colour, fantastic application! The only downside I have to say about this is that it takes long to dry for a matte polish. Perhaps it was because it was thick, but I found it took a while to dry.
Moving on, I decided to do a really simple look using this polish, some clear topcoat and the gold studs that came with the package. I decided I didn't want to use them gold, so what I did was dip a cotton bud in polish remover and rubbed the gold surface to reveal a silver one! Neat huh?
The studs were easy to use and come in a handy zip-lock bag so they don't fall out. Since I applied these studs on a matte base, I used a matte topcoat to stick them on. I used some blue tack on the end of a toothpick to pick the stud up, brushed on some matte topcoat underneath the stud and stuck it in place. Really easy and simple to use.
Here's the look I created with both these products,
There we have it! Great products from the Born Pretty store :) You can purchase these products on the Born Pretty website here www.bornprettystore.com This nail polish, along with other colours can be purchased here for $3.88 each and the studs here for $5.73 each. They also have free shipping!
Thank you to Born Pretty for providing these for me to review. Hope you enjoyed this review!

Spots and Bows
Hello readers!
Tonight, i'll be showing you the mani I wore for a few days. It's super cute and pretty simple to do. Before I show you some pictures, i'd just like to say thank you to all of you who have been patient with my lack of posts earlier - I really appreciate it!
Also, just side-tracking a little, but I've decided that I will start selling/taking requests for false nail sets. Please email me if you are interested or would like a quote. You can find my email in the about me section on your right -->
Now we've gotten that out of the way, let's have a look at the mani I did :)
I felt really lazy to do something intricate so I settled for these! I've seriously just started re-watching some dramas back to back, so I better control that so I can do some nails and tutorials for you all to see hehe good luck to me.
Any who, I will see you all in the next post!

Winner of Copy That Copy Cat's One Year Blogaversary Nail Art Competition!
Hey everyone! I just realised I announced the winner of my nail art competition on Facebook, but I didn't announce it on my blog (sorry)!
Just a quick recap, my nail art competition theme was 'What's Cookin' and the winner was selected based on originality and creativity of design/idea. Through this criteria, my friend and I chose the design that we thought expressed the theme on a different level and created a twist with it. The technical detail on it was also pretty good.

My (Early) Birthday Party!
Hello readers! Tonight, I have the post that I mentioned a few days ago - my birthday party with pics! The post will be a bit long, so hope you all don't mind.
So, just to let you all know that I celebrated my 21st birthday in my backyard and had an outer space dress up theme. Unfortunately, not everyone came dressed, so I included photos of the people who did dress up - even then, there's not many at all :(
My plan for the day was to have a BBQ and set up my backyard with some styrofoam planets and cut out stars. My dad bought the meats on the morning of the party so it was quite rushed! I seriously was so stressed and panicked since everything wasn't done yet and it was almost time for the guests to arrive. My decorations also weren't up! I was buggered and rushing everywhere!
Nevertheless, I had some fun AND didn't end up drinking as much as all my friends wanted me to! Just a little context, I'm not a drinker and my friends are always curious to see what i'm like when i'm drunk and I always say no to a drink. They figured it was my 21st, no exceptions, get drunk and I barely drank anything. I got away with half a shot of tequila hahaha! Suckers to all my friends who were so keen on getting me drunk :D
My brother got some snaps for me of the night and my friend took a few good photos for the time he was there, so I'll steal those from his FB, i'm sure he won't mind :)
I'll leave you with some pics and then show you my nails and awesome birthday cake that a friend made for me :)
My bf and my friend dressed in MIB ended up vomitting on the night, and apparently, so did my younger brother! Cleanup wasn't too bad, so all good! My dad helped me clean all the rubbish and take down the ladders and lights etc.
That's my birthday in a post! Hope you enjoyed reading this and looking at all the pics :) Hopefully it was what you were all looking forward to! Till the next post, takecare!

My girlfriends who came dressed as Sailor Venus and Sailor Mars respectively :) I dressed as Padme from Star Wars!
My boyfriend as Darth Vader and I!
Another of my girlfriends, dressed as R2D2!
My parents!
My family :) Older brother as Green Lantern and my younger as a Mortal Kombat character. I forgot to take the opacity down for my watermark =/
Here's a shot of my costume, courtesy of my friend!
A really nice shot of my uncle cooking on the barbie (courtesy of my friend), I included this pic cause you can see some of the decorations!
This is my friend dressed as MIB (courtesy of my friend). More decorations! This looks like a mysterious shot, don't you think?
It was supposed to look better than this, but time decided otherwise! I tied these up real quick and it was kind of windy on the night - bummer! I painted the little rocket and cut out letters and glittered them. I also painted all the planets and cut out all the stars; wish I got a better photo of the decorations! My bf, brothers and one of his friends helped hang all the decorations :) Big thanks to them!
My awesome birthday cake! Look how cute it is, and all the planets are there too - I love it! If you are in Sydney and need a cake, my friend makes cakes, cupcakes and cake pops! Check her out at Sweet Ocassions!
And here are my birthday nails!!! I decided to do 2 accent galaxy nails for the 'outer space' theme and then have the rest inspired by my costume. The costume is white, silver armbands and brown boots, so that's where the colour inspiration came from. Shame you can't see the silver on my arms, since the shawl is covering it, so here's a stock image of the costume.
