Video Tutorial: Brushes & Tools (Part 1)

Hello! I know this video is long overdue, it seriously has been sitting in my harddrive waiting to be converted for a while and I figured now is the time!

I have part 1 of how I use my brushes to show you today, mainly cause the video itself is crazy long (it was almost 20 minutes), so thought it would be better to split them up. There are 3 parts to this video, so keep your eyes peeled for the remaining 2.

Illamasqua Stance and Nomad Half Moons with Lace Design

Wowzers, it's been a while! Hope you've all been well and I apologise again for my absence. I had my bf's cousins come down so all the days I've had free from work, I've been hanging with them, so didn't get much time to do my nails. I seriously have been wearing the same thing for about a week *gasp*

Anywho, Like I said I've been wearing this mani for about a week and before I took pictures (I only took them last night!), I decided to touch up the tips and apply a topcoat over it, so it looks like I had just done them - I'm surprised they weren't more worn out, considering the nature of my work.

Here's how they look,

I received these polishes from a PR company to try out and I really love how they work together. Both had great formulas and were both 2 coaters, so nothing more I could ask for in a polish :) My bf's cousin said this looks like a sauri design and it kind of does!

Last night I was trying to think of inspiration to do some nail art and sadly, I didn't come up with anything, BUT the good news is that my lack of inspiration created an inspiration for me haha! Hopefully get that done soon and will snap it up quick so I can show you all!

Face Of Australia Orange You Glad You Came? + Black Abstract Design

Hi everyone! Today I have another older mani to show you. My nails are quite short in these pics (they are much longer atm), that's how long ago it was haha. That's beside the point, just thought I'd mention that.

The base polish that I used for this mani is one of Face of Australia's polishes from the Barbados collection. It's a lovely bright orange with yellow/gold shimmer in it. I don't usually love shimmers, but I really took a liking to this colour - very summery and just pops on your fingers! The pictures really show off the yellow/gold shimmer.

I also painted some abstract lines that I had seen online somewhere. I really like how it kinda looks funky.

Wow, look at my thumb, major shrinkage right there and on my ring finger too, if you can see it at the free nail edge. What a way to ruin a good mani too!

I really liked how this turned out, one of my faves I reckon! What do you think of this mani? Let me know below :)

Diamonds and Crosses

Hello lovely readers! Tonight I have a mani I did a while back to show you. I will probably catch up to what I'm wearing now anyway, since I don't change them as often now (sad face).

I felt like drawing diamonds on my nails some day and I thought, why not today (the day I did them a few weeks back). I made them a little ghetto like and added some crosses as well. I really like the contrast of the background colour, which is a shade from Ulta3 (insert name, I have to check). It's a lovely fuschia-like colour and I really love how it looks on my skin.

Here's how they turned out

That little nic on the diamond really bugged me! I had it perfect on my other hand though, shame I didn't get pictures of that hand haha.

That's all I have to say about that mani! Also, as I mentioned in one of the comments in a previous post, I got my tragus pierced and I got a new phone (Samsung Galaxy sIII - thanks to my bf for arranging that for me). Happy girl I am!

Posting Absence

Hi everyone! This has probably got to be the longest I haven't posted anything and I'm really sorry about that! I have been caught up with work and then had a trip over the weekend and back to work and I've been extremely tired lately from the trip, so I hope you all forgive me for not posting in such a long time! I will have a post up tomorrow after I finish work :) I think tomorrow as well, I will schedule some posts of the older mani's I've done so that you won't have to wait ages for another post.
