FAQ, Q&A - Submit your questions!

Hi everyone!

Just thought I'd do something a little different with this post and decided to do what Sammy over at The Nailasaurus did - a Q&A in the form of a video or post. If I decide to do a video, well, you all get to see my face and my blonde hair (I went from Asian black to platinum blonde about a month or 2 ago!) haha

If you have any questions for me, please leave a comment below or shoot me an email at linda.khuu@live.com.au

You can ask whatever you like - nail or non-nail related, but keep in mind I will not answer any super personal or invasive questions, but I'm sure you all know that :) Look forward to receiving all your questions!

Ulta3 Crystallina Layering Combo with Black Detailing

Hi there!

I decided to dedicate tonight to painting my nails - had one helluva busy week so I just chilled today (even though I should've been doing work).

I bought a bottle of Ulta3 Crystallina the other day and it's a pretty shimmery white that shines golden orange. I thought it was a pretty colour and decided to do some layering and I ended up with the prettiest subtle glistening of the different particles on my nails. I had put a layer of blue-pinkish glass flecks over Crystallina and then a fine holographic glitter polish over and I thought it was stunning. The pictures I took show them no justice! To top things off, I painted on some black detailing (not quite lace) that kind of resembles a chandelier design and added a small rhinestone on them. I think they are perfect for wedding nails :)

Close up of the glitters. You can't see them all except for the holographic glitter since it is quite dominant. The hint of pink/purple is the glass fleck polish and the subtle golden sheen is from the base polish.

Don't mind my cuticles, I know some of them are a bit terrible - I forgot to apply some oil over them. I think I spent a good hour just painting on the black details. Surprisingly enough, my left hand painted on the details in just about the same amount of time as my dominant hand (woo, getting better hehe).

What's your verdict on these? Let me know below!

OPI Metal 4 Life & Deborah Lippmann Lady Sings the Blues with White Roses

Wowee, it's been a long time since I've made a post. I'm in my last semester for uni and I'm working part time too, so getting exhausted heaps :( I also don't paint my nails so often anymore 'cause of work - sad indeed.

With the time I do have, I really try to squeeze in some nail art time cause I miss sitting down and painting my nails for hours! This design was the closest I could get to quality nail art time (hehe). I decided to use 2 colours I haven't really used yet (except for one I wore on my toes) and did a gradient with them. Mind you, both colours were dark, so it is quite subtle.

I went for the 'negative' space on the nail, so some of them are showing about 1/3 of natural nails embellished with rhinestones, studs and microbeads, while the accent fingers are full colour and finished off with some white roses. I really like how they look together, so instead of explaining what they look like, I will just have to show you!

My nails are really long now! They were a bit longer than this before, but I trimmed it down a bit and now it's grown back to the same length it was before. I think I might keep it a bit long for now, don't really feel like cutting them short!

Also, while I was at work, the same lady who requested one of my designs before, also asked for this rose design that I have in this mani! I've done these roses before, but on a different base and with a black outline. I really liked them so just did them again :)

What do you think of this design? Let me know below!

Video Tutorial: Using Brushes & Tools (Part 3)

Hello all! Sorry for the late post, was supposed to have this up at least a few days ago, but never got around to putting it up. I've also recorded the tutorial for the nails I sported in this tutorial, since I got so many requests for it! I haven't recorded in a while, so hopefully that tutorial makes sense and all. I'm in the process of rendering and stuff so hopefully get that done asap :)

Enjoy!
