Tonight I have a mathematical inspired nail art design to show you - it's based on fractals! For those who are unsure of what fractals are, here's a definition:
noun, Mathematics, Physics.
a geometrical or physical structure having an irregular or fragmentedshape at all scales of measurement between a greatest and smallestscale such that certain mathematical or physical properties of thestructure, as the perimeter of a curve or the flow rate in a porousmedium, behave as if the dimensions of the structure (fractaldimensions) are greater than the spatial dimensions.
Well that is a bit complicated to understand haha, just google up the images and you'll find that it's usually a repetition of shapes with a change of scale. Sorry, that's all I know how to explain haha
These are my super simplified versions. Technically, there should be more triangles within all the triangles you can see, but come on, as if I'd be bothered to draw even tinier triangles in each of those already small enough triangles haha!
I started off with 2 coats of Orly Green Apple and with one hand, I freehanded the pink triangles with MUD Look At Me and with the other hand, I decided to use tape instead since the polish base would've dried completely by the time I was done with my left hand. Afterwards, I used a black and white striper to do the other triangles and finished off with a small green triangle in the centre.
So what do you think of this design? I should look to maths for more design inspirations, provided they aren't too boring! :P
P.S. There will be 2 videos coming out soon! One of the peacock feather design and the other being a product review. See you then!
