I've been missing for a while, sad to say I've been working at least 5 days over the past week and have had so many things on and I was just on holiday last week and got back a few days ago - PHWOAR!
Anyways, tonight I have a Nails Inc. nail kit to show you today. A lovely lady by the name of Laura contacted me and sent me this kit to try out and I was pretty excited because it included a leather effect nail polish and some cute metal skull embellishments!
I'll leave a picture of the kit below, just for your viewing pleasure. Keep in mind that this might be a lengthy post - with pictures of course :)
Clearly, I used the kit before getting pictures of it first!
Kit comes with a leather effect polish, cuticle/orange stick, nail glue and 4 metal skull embellishments
Here are some pictures of the polish and embellishment on.
I was quite impressed with this kit, pretty much because I thought it was way cool. The formula of the nail polish was sandy (when brushing the stem of the brush against the bottle), but it applies smooth and glossy and dries to a gritty, matte finish. It covers well in just 2 coats as well. No topcoat was applied, so that the intended effect shows through. I wish the finish was a little more satin, cause when it's really matte, it reminds me of the plastic on computer chairs. Nevertheless, still a cool effect and cool piece of bling to stick on my thumb! The skull also has little rhinestones on it - even more love!
I decided to take this look a step further and turned them into rock nails :) Here are some pictures,
I think the end result is so edgy and fun! What do you think? Let me know in the comments below!
If you would like to get your hands on the Nails Inc Leather Bling it on Set, you can purchase them from Littlewoods for £24.
Till the next post,
Linda

AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteI saw this at Sephora recently, this is something I want to try :)
ReplyDeleteI love this!!
ReplyDeleteI recently picked this up from Sephora but have yet to wear it. Thanks for sharing!! Love the mani! Rock start status!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea and the design you came up with for this but I'm not sure about it. Maybe because I prefer my glossiness, I'm not so used the finish of this one.
ReplyDeleteVery cool looking!
ReplyDeletethese leather effects remind me of the opi liquid sand polishes except less glittery
ReplyDeleteIt turned out great :) Love every idea you did!
ReplyDeleteMy nail polish blog nails-and-more.blogspot.com
I love new and differnt looks and effects to manicures. Badass :)
ReplyDeleteI really adore this, and wish I could find leather look nail polishes, but that is way too expensive for a polish. :/
ReplyDeleteI'd buy one if it was $15 or less, but I guess I'll just have to settle for matte blacks. Le sigh.
I love your final rock mani, it really suits the polish!
